Poor technique.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Prevention Strategies and\u00a0Rehabilitation Techniques\/<strong>Proper Technique and Posture<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hand Positioning:<\/strong> Keep your wrists in a neutral position. Avoid big movements initiated by the wrist.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Seating:<\/strong> Use an adjustable bench to ensure your elbows are slightly above or level with the keys. Sit upright with your feet flat on the floor.<\/li>\n<li>Learning and utilising the principles of the <strong>Taubman Approach<\/strong> helps the hand to adopt new, healthy habits. At the same time, getting rid of old, injurious habits, allows the pianist to enjoy a new sense of freedom and ease on the piano keys.
